Fixing "Would Like to Access Data" Pop-Up in Unite on macOS 15

With macOS 15, Apple introduced some new privacy features that have slightly changed how apps handle permissions. If you're using Unite to create apps, you may see a prompt asking for file access each time you open a created app.

Why is this happening?

These pop-ups are part of macOS 15's updated privacy protections. Unite apps are designed to be secure and don’t actually need access to files outside their own environment. However, macOS now asks for extra confirmation as part of a new security layer.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. The prompt does not mean the created app is trying to access any personal files. Changes in macOS 15 require additional permissions to avoid this prompt, as created apps try to access a shared group container in Unite's Library files. It’s simply macOS’s way of ensuring that all apps respect your privacy.

What can I do in the meantime?

If you'd like to prevent these pop-ups, you can grant the created app full disk access under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access. This setting stops the prompt from appearing without impacting the safety or privacy of your files.

We’re working on an update to align Unite with macOS 15’s new requirements, so you won’t need to worry about these pop-ups in the future. Thanks for your patience!
